  and cheek is infected
infection spreading into her face
she is probably very sick

Hib
very dangerous to children under five
  years old
even more dangerous to infants

Hib germ
caused by contact with infected person
germ enters body through the nose and
   throat

Once infected
unknown how long it takes to get sick

Symptoms
fever
severe headache
severe sore throat
severe breathing problems

Complications
brain damage
seizures
paralysis
hearing loss
death

Children under 5 years of age need to be vaccinated against Hib.
