The three-year old checkup is usually the first visit where the child and pediatrician can talk to each other. By three years of age the resistance to a physical examination has decreased and a visit to the pediatrician is usually a little easier. The three-year checkup is a time to review the vaccinations and be sure that the child is up-to-date, review growth and development, dietary habits, toilet training, sleep behaviors, speech, discipline, safety, perform a physical exam and answer any questions. |
