MarathonMom Learning-Toddler Registered: 06/27/04 Posts: 132 Loc: Sugar Land, TX	Hi Dr. B., I hope you and your family are enjoying the new year. My little girl is making noises (sounds like hmm) every few seconds. It's been going on for a little over a month. Her teacher has taken notice as well. We don't know if this is a habit she will grow out of. When I ask the little one why she makes noises, she says it makes her throat feel better. Do you have any insight on this? The little one just went to an ENT at the end of the year for snoring and grinding her teeth. But, he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Dr. B Wise-Teacher Registered: 07/25/01 Posts: 12826	Hi, This is either an allergy with some post nasal drip or a tic (habit). I'd see if an antihistamine like claritin helps. If not, I'd ignore it and it should pass. Next time you come in I'll look up her nose and see if this looks like allergy. _________________________ Dr. Bornstein
